Greek fish drawing

Another page from my sketchbook. Although I don’t know about the ‘sketching’ verb. That word seems to presuppose you do a first rough rendering as a sketch and then you do the real painting later in your studio, right?

I never do. I haven’t ever once taken a sketch and then redo it as a more detailed painting. With me it is more like this. When I am on vacation, or teaching abroad, of course I don’t have my studio. Usually I take some colored pencils or my watercolor box. So in order to get my daily dose of art production, I use that sketchbook.

Anyway. In Athens there is a lot of fish. In restaurants. And a big harbor with some fishing boats too. So in this drawing a lot of fish appeared. In someone’s head.

Head full of fish
