Doctor Kline part 2

What am I working on? Not as many things as I would like to…. I had a crisis in one of my day jobs – still managing 2 companies – which took up most of my time. Never mind. You know the old saying: ‘In art, an amateur is somebody who has to work in another job to make a living. A professional is somebody with a rich partner’.

I did continue my Doctor Kline series. The next one, the one you see here, is ‘Good afternoon Doctor Kline’. And the two after that will be – you might have guessed – about the evening and the night.

So here is ‘Good afternoon’ Doctor Kline. As you can see, in the afternoon things get a bit more mechanical.

At the same time I am working on my ‘Dike Mysticism’ exhibition. The HomeHaus series is ready to go to the printer, that is, if the printer is still open, because the Netherlands, like most of Europe, are in the grip of the Corona virus. Well, we’ll see, it wouldn’t kill me to have this project postponed for a few weeks. Many museums will have their hands full with Corona as well, I guess, having to cancel shows and so on.

Rising water, corona, refugees in bad camps… Our times don’t always show the prettiest picture. I think I should do at least one work about hope and trust. Maybe send it out as a print or something.
